EXECUTIVE ROYAL – OSCAR NIEMEYER

Oscar Niemeyer is honored with an Executive Royal Room, with a bathtub overlooking the Douro River and the possibility of a double or twin bed.

The room refers to the architect's minimalist style, with simple decor.

Much of the bedroom design, such as the shades and shape of the windows and the headboard, were based on one of his famous works: Mondadori publishing headquarters in Italy.

ABOUT THE ARTIST...

Oscar Niemeyer was a Brazilian architect, considered one of the biggest drivers of modern architecture, with more than 600 works around the world.

Oscar was responsible for the design of several public buildings in Brasília, capital of Brazil, where glass and curves stand out as characteristics of his works.

Main artworks:
  • Metropolitan cathedral of Brasília;
  • Oscar Niemeyer museum;
  • Museum of contemporary art in Niterói;
  • Copan building;
  • Planalto palace;
  • Palace of Dawn;
