In our Torel Avantgarde, a boutique hotel in the center of Porto, we honor Zaha Hadid with a hotel room in the Classic Deluxe category, with a double bed, balcony, and a view to the Douro.
Its color of choice, white, was chosen for the walls to also represent clarity and light.
The black accents refer to the color he wore the most and the curves of the carpet pay homage to his style.
Zaha Mohammad Hadid, "Queen of the Curve", was an Iraqi and British architect who consistently pushed the boundaries of architecture and urban design.
Her work has tested spatial quality, amplifying, and intensifying existing landscapes in search of a visionary aesthetic, which encompasses all fields of design, from the urban scale to products, interiors, and furniture.
