Stanley Kubrick
26th July, 1928 (New York, USA) – 7th March, 1999 (UK)
The Executive Deluxe Stanley Kubrick is a double room, with a balcony and views of the Douro.
Located on the second floor of our boutique hotel, the artist’s room reflects the two great passions of his life: photography and cinema, with the painting present in this space being the exponential of this symbolism.
The background of the painting is a collage of photos, which contains, at the top, a portrait of Kubrick, with a camera.
The color of the walls, in light gray, represents monochrome films, while the design of the carpet is a tribute to the reels of his films.
